What should I do to prepare for my test?
Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate.
Prior to sticking the device on your shoulder:
- Rub your shoulder vigorously for 1-3 minutes to improve blood flow to the area.
- Disinfect the shoulder with provided alcohol pad.
That's it, now just Stick It, Click It, Drip It, Ship It.
How do I administer my test?
Simply place our sample collection device on your arm, click the red button and let the blood flow. Be sure to read the detailed instructions or video that comes with your test kit.
How much blood should I collect?
Ideally you should try to provide the laboratory with a full tube or at least reach the 600uL line.
Help! The blood is not flowing.
You may not see blood for more than 5 minutes. Blood flow varies amongst patients and can take up to 10 minutes. Don't worry this is normal.
What happens if I can't get to the top line of the collection tube?
Don't stress. There's a good chance we will be able to run all your panels.
Because we run our own labs we can give hands on attention to every sample.
